Comments (44)HiTino Felly, Marie Here. Your off to a great start - but you've made a common mistake in that you've found your inspiration for your colour palette, but your not committing to it. You need to bring the greens and blues up onto the walls and onto the floor - commit to it. You could: - add a great throw rug underneath the bed, - add big table lamp beside the bed - or better yet, a wall sconce, - drapery isn't really the best choice for this bedding - I would have brought in a bold graphic print here, in either the blue or the green - artwork can stay neutral - even do a collection of mixed metals in chrome, gold, and have fun with that - if you add too much in the blue and green it becomes boring and un-special. Choose your accessories carefully, I'd change out your drapery - go with something bolder, I'd also get a larger night stand so you could put a proper table lamp there. Good Luck!...See MoreI know this CAN be a fabulous room ... I just lost my way a little
Comments (660)So funny! I'm planning to paint the bannister at the new house (TNH) black and am veering towards painting the treads and risers black too... I've been searching for images of black staircases on Houzz and putting them in my entrance hall ideabook. They are few and far between. In your case, I think, with your white walls, maybe the stairs white and the bannister black? (Assuming the white walls continue up the stair walls enabling the b/w contrast.) You've already put black firmly into the equation, adding some more may give more reason for the black rad cab. In my case, there is a very off-centre radiator that could so very easily have been directly opposite the front door in TNH which is rather annoying as it stuffs up the focal point. We are leaving here with every radiator covered with a cabinet - and going to TNH that has loads of radiators ...but no cabinets! Yes, the work ahead is daunting - especially since the area of Ireland we're going to is very basic and not full of DIY resources, etc. I keep thinking I'll paint TNH white - to make things simpler(!) But try as I may colour keeps wandering through my mind! Lovely to be in touch again!...See MoreWhat tap trend will be seeing? Let us know your thoughts?
Comments (2)I would be very unsure about black taps, many years ago I choose white taps, they had just come on to the market, they soon looked dated and I was cross with myself for getting carried away. I do think, however, that the best quality chrome taps are worth paying for, they never seem to go completely out of fashion, unlike gold, which goes in and out of fashion and have never tempted me. However, in the end, you have to follow your heart, if you love something, it will give you pleasure, but always go for the best you can afford, not just for looks....See MoreAnyone know what the area in this Title Plans mean?
Comments (1)I think that when the solicitor gets confirmation you will find that it is unadopted road/driveway. So if the local authority hasn’t adopted it, and three houses use it there will eventually be some maintenance required and this will fall to the homeowners . I suspect that the deeds have some explanation but modern developments tend to have a modest maintenance charge to look after open space, attenuation ponds, playgrounds etc. alternatively it is just just off language used and the deeds will have some outline of how the bills would be split should they arise in the future...See MoreJuliettes Interiors Ltd
