Our new bathroom

A couple of months ago I asked whether I should take down the wall separating the bath from the shower. I took your advice and got rid of the wall so happy with the result. Just painting and a mirror to go!

What's the length of your room?

My layout is similar and I'm having to consider a quadrant shower when my preference is square/rectangular.

Hi Stefka, The bathroom is coming along nicely. Is the bath panel a match to the sink base? What material is the floor, vinyl or wood? If it's wood and you're not happy with the colour, have you considered either bleaching it, then colour washing it to a similar colour to the tiles around the bath or staining it darker? (Going darker will make the bathroom seem smaller.) To keep the textures and colours as simple as possible, paint the plaster walls a colour that is 2-3 shades lighter than the square wall tiles. A different colour will chop the room up more. A big mirror over the sink ledge, wall to wall, will make a huge difference to the feel of the room. It will reflect light all around and visually double the space. Colour can be added through towels and accessories like special bottles for oils and lotions. Your tiles look to be a pinky beige so look at neutrals or pale turquoise. Plastic shutters can be wiped down with ammonia and water in the course of cleaning the bathroom and allow access to the window for cleaning and ventilation.

Hi. The bathroom is looking good! I'm also not convinced by the praticalities of the shelf as the bath also looks quite close to the ŵall so you may bang your head etc? I would paint the bath ŵall in a dark or rich colour and then add a really large frameless mirror. I'd add a wooden stool with a little tray for toiletries and either an orchid or small plant (similar to pic). I'd go for a round wooden mirror over the sink. Do you have a central light? Something in keeping with the spa type feel would look great particularly reflected by the mirror.

yes, shower panels. They look black but are actually lots of shades of blue, the lighter shades get highlighted by the floor. So easy to clean.

I can't find my tape measure but I know the bath is 1700mm and shower 800 x 800mm with a small gap in between.
