Comments (11)i think either wooden blinds or a solid colour of roman blinds.. if you were to jazz it up you could go dark purple and add some dark purple accessories to the room or a dark grey/charcoal to keep it safe...See MoreModern small dark living room

Comments (7)Plenty room for a dining end/area in your room. Suggest a rug in the lounge section -same length as the sofa- to help define and separate each part of the room. Also makes for a cosy look and feel. Currently you have a roman blind in the lounge area and this is the best treatment for that window- suggest some colour and pattern to the fabric in a new blind, coordinating with the rug. The photo suggests floor length curtains in the dining area? Is there patio doors behind? If so again new curtains would be best option - full length and with colour and pattern as in lounge. Look at Prestigious Textiles fabric ranges for ideas. I suggest floor lamps in the lounge and a couple if small side tables rather than a coffee table. Try Dwell for side tables to match with your dining table i.e. gloss white- this will pull the two areas of the room together whilst keeping them as distinct spaces. Doing this will make the room seem bigger actually....See Moreliving room with brown leather sofa
Comments (4)Do you need both of the sofas on the long wall? I would swap what looks to be the larger of the 2 with the one in front of the window and perhaps sell the other. I like the wood floor but if you're on a budget you could add a light rug instead which should help? Do you need the nets for privacy? what sort of styles do you like and do you have a budget in mind? Plants, lamps, cushions etc would lift it. A light brown/taupe with a pink undertone might work for the walls (I'd also paint the radiator)....See MoreClaire O'Neill
