Picture wall frame
Comments (2)There are no rules when it comes to picture walls. If you go for eclectic then different styles of frames are better and different colours. However a modern classic look would be to keep the frames in a similar style (ie don't mix ornate baroque with plain frames). Mixed sizes are good to add interest to the display. I've seen walls done in a set pattern but also waves of frames that start as a cluster and end up with just a single one at the end. Think of it as a giant piece of wall art. Spacing wise, I would either keep to a set space (say 2") between frames or do the whole thing random....See MorePicture frame colours for a quirky boutique feel?
Comments (13)Thanks all for input...been away for a while hence the delay in commenting! I just couldn't live with the pink in the end...it seems to dull out in the photos... Any way I've purchased some new baroque style frames in silver/golds and a couple in flat grey (matching the tiles and grout colouring) and will update that wall colour with something darker and more opulent....not sure on what colour yet. On the bright side my mum loves the concept and colouring so stole it for her picture wall and her style is slot more modern anyway so I think it will look really playful and add a bit of needed colour. Additionally my 6 year loved the pinks so the mirror frame wall idea is moving into her room (her room is already a chic shadow grey with white and accents in pink) - it will be more radial based around a larger central mirror and with a bigger space to play with should work a lot better. Alls well that ends well!...See MoreHelp with selecting a picture frame!

Comments (17)Hi minnie yeah that’s probably the best option...I was just being lazy & was hoping to order online! I don’t think I’ve posted any pics yet as it isn’t finished (just getting over a persistent bug & then hopefully it will be all systems go!) need to get a new table with lower backed chairs, add the wooden breakfast bar to the island, stools & accessorise. Here’s a pic I took a few months back, the floor looks more subtle irl :)...See Morecianor
