LAXseries 3X Shelf, White, Wall Mounted

Can I just join two of these together to form one seamless unit? It would seem that the door panels can slide from one unit to another. Please confirm.

You can join two or more together, if desired. The covers are able to slide completely off and the tracks should match up together from piece to piece.

Hi. An interesting room. The tall ceilings are an asset. However the mantle and higher shelf are making it feel squat. I would suggest that you remove the shelf around the chimney breast completely and move the mantel up. Paint the mantle, the shelves around the other walls and the skirting boards a soft white. Also paint the whole of the chimney breast white. Paint the remaining walls below and above the shelves a soft pale grey. This will give the room "height". Fit white bookshelves in the alcoves below the shelves only. Make the shelves nice and deep in order that you can put a couple of matching blue and white Chinese style urns on top of the shelves to add balance and an illusion of height to the shelves. Now place a large modern painting, not a mirror, above the mantel midway with the ceiling with a pale grey frame. This should make the room feel lighter and more interesting. Good Luck. Hi Robin, Lovely room - I love the wall colour and bookcase! How much of the bookcase does the leather sofa block? I used to have a sofa against a bookshelf and while I grew used to it it did annoy me a bit with the wasted/hard to access shelf space! You could rearrange the furniture in the room so that the leather sofa had its back to the radiator and the seating area was in more of an L-shape rather than with the sofas opposite each other, and then put a rug/layered rugs down (which always looks nice on floorboards, at least I think!). In terms of what to do above the fireplace - I like the idea of hanging a big artwork, or photographs, or you could hang a large mirror, or both a mirror and artwork!

TV Unit or Wall Mounted...which is better?

A tv unit is easiest but a wall mounted tv at the right level looks good too, saying that it has to have all the cables hidden to work well, I wall mounted mine and the livingroom, it is 5m across to the sofa opposite so the height is perfect! buried trunking etc but really like the finished look, we have a floating unit in the sunroom which a tv sits on and the cables come out of a cable hole right in the center and are hidden up the back of the tv!
