Hi, this is a Ben Moore color Barely Beige on the walls, the trim is Simply White, and the Carpet is a Shaw Berber Pebble Beach. Thank you very much.

OnePlan: Hi, thanks so much for answering!! Yes, I was thinking so too, other ideas have been candles and low watt bulbs for lamps. No furniture ordered, no specific bed needed apart from no high beds. Budget, eh, sort of, but no specific idea, we aren't minted that's for sure! I would *love* a chair, an arm chair, next to the wardrobe [in the corner] but every chair I've put into the plan has really taken a large chunk out of the room. No TV, I use my laptop for everything. Dog does sleep on the bed, he's black and white [possibly the worst combo eh!] and he's a Springer, so not a huge malter, lighter bedding would probably be sensible. Absolutely fine! I didn't want to ramble in my original post but knew there were so many questions to answer. For the single wardrobe, I was thinking mirrored. For the chest of drawers, white I think, I've been looking on eBay for that. I love the chest of drawers I've attached a picture of. Would a taupe look too dark on my walls? It's funny really, I do art a lot and make money from it, so work with colours regularly yet cannot seem to figure it out for my bedroom! CH Interior Design: Hi!! Thank you for responding! If you mean placing the chest of drawers at the bottom of my bed, then it wouldn't fit due to the depth, if you mean across the room next to the wardrobe, then that was a space I was planning on leaving free for a possible chair. I was thinking of keeping the walls fairly neutral so that if I ever want to change the colour scheme, I can do. I was thinking perhaps taupe, do you think that would be too dark? I love your colour scheme suggestion though! If anyone has any suggestions on where I could get a chest of drawers similar to the one below, that would be fantastic.

Gone through my album of our very own decorating therapy journey and found these. I hope you can see the roller black-out in the first photo, it's tucked inside the recess of the window. The Duette is a peachy colour which looks a lot lighter colour in the north-facing sun. The one in the five panel window is the room below, it does not have the roller blind but the curtains are black out. They are not as efficient in blocking out light as the roller in recess though. the curtains are from Hamilton McBride, only reason i got them were because not many wide (350cm) curtains are cheaply available on Amazon... If your room is not too cold, you can also consider wooden venetian, mine is in white colour as you can see from the 'blue room' (it's F&B's new Vardo btw), which is on the ground floor of the north facing side. 247 does oak colour too. Many neighbours asked us where we got those from!! They look great at a good price - those two windows cost me just under a £100 - but they are not the most energy efficient. They are okay blocking out light but if you have it in the south-facing room, it might not be quite enough. Do go to 247blinds and request some free samples, it's worth a try. Hope this helps! ;)

hi Simone, sounds lovely , my recommendation would be to somehow incorporate all materials, colours, finishes you wish to include, where within scheme you incorporate each one matters less. E.g. Table can be black, chairs white or visa versa, Gather together on one page all items you'd like to include to achieve the desired look and see if your happy. If it looks good on paper, you are on right track and you should spot if something looks wrong. i think below photos is look you are going for so I think any combination will work lovely with green sofa, best luck
