Great difficulty in trying to acquire an oval shaped coffee table.

I have been trying to purchase an oval shaped coffee table, preferably with drawers but without any success? Please help!

Bespoke ? Or if you can't find one with drawers how about a oval shaped wicker basket under

What does it need to be made out of?

We have recently produced industrial style coffee tables for a bar in London in an oval shape. (attached below)

So funny! I'm planning to paint the bannister at the new house (TNH) black and am veering towards painting the treads and risers black too... I've been searching for images of black staircases on Houzz and putting them in my entrance hall ideabook. They are few and far between. In your case, I think, with your white walls, maybe the stairs white and the bannister black? (Assuming the white walls continue up the stair walls enabling the b/w contrast.) You've already put black firmly into the equation, adding some more may give more reason for the black rad cab. In my case, there is a very off-centre radiator that could so very easily have been directly opposite the front door in TNH which is rather annoying as it stuffs up the focal point. We are leaving here with every radiator covered with a cabinet - and going to TNH that has loads of radiators ...but no cabinets! Yes, the work ahead is daunting - especially since the area of Ireland we're going to is very basic and not full of DIY resources, etc. I keep thinking I'll paint TNH white - to make things simpler(!) But try as I may colour keeps wandering through my mind! Lovely to be in touch again!

Hi Kyle. Can you move the furniture you're selling into another room temporarily and try rearranging the furniture to see what space you're actually left with so you can measure it out properly? I might be wrong but it looks as if the only other place the sofa can go is in front of the sideboard, it looks by eye as if it would be too deep to go on the RHS of the fire? Has your partner actually found tables he likes?

Wow Beckie! What a transformation! You've done a great job :). I feel like this rug was made for your colour scheme- http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/textiles-rugs/rugs/alvine-ruta-rug-flatwoven-handmade-white-yellow-art-50168285/ Ties in beautifully with your curtains too. Traditionally rugs should either go right under furniture or just under the front legs. I think it's nice to be able to see your flooring though so as long as it's not miles away from the furniture I think it'll look good. I'm not usually a fan of glass topped coffee tables. Not least because they show up dust and marks and make that horrible noise when you put mugs down on them (is it just me that bothers?). That said the room could end up looking rather cluttered with more furniture so maybe glass is the way to go here.

I would place the TV on the wall, above the radiator, next to the fridge (bear with me). I would then hang some material (something sophisticated, I don't think light/floral would go with your apartment) between the TV/fridge to separate the kitchen/front room when you want to, and be pulled back when you don't. This way your sofa goes in the centre of the apartment, leaving the large space in the triangle for a table/desk. As you have a grey kitchen, you could use mustard coloured cushions/throws etc
