This kitchen is stunning. What shade of colour have you used on the island? It compliments the wood really well.

Believe it or not it is Benjamin Moore Cumulous but we never recommend making decisions for paint off our photos since photography lights change things slightly.

Wow such a beautiful colour, photography totally changes every shade however in this instance the tones really enhance the wood.

Hello jwstone, Most welcome :)).. Yes I rather think you will prefer a lighter worktop overall, it will compliment the island that you're having and also give the appearance of space... Wimbourne white is a nice white.. It is really a white though.. I used it for the inside of my front door.. So it may be that this is the way you want to go.. For overhead cupboards it will be nice.. (Or bottom) Have you thought about having touch open hinges.. ie no handles? This is also a very sleek option.. Or the cup handles are really nice too a nickel version... rather than chrome may be something you might like... Nickel is a favourite of mine.. Lovely chopping boards out of any off cuts! Wooden chopping boards too... lovely chrome toaster, A pot of rosemary or two.. Just had a thought.. There is a funny one (paint) called Aunty Maud by Fired Earth, you want the super Eggshell for the cabinets and any wood.. .. it too is quite white (I do rather like the name of it!) but I am loath to suggest more sample pots.. For anything colour wise on wood.. I'd paint the colour onto off cuts if you have any.. : ))

Thank you both for responding. I really appreciate it Sonia Im not sure abut a very pale colour especially on the island which is really dark grey. I think it would be high maintenqnce to keep looking clean and a bit too much of a contrast? If you have found any similar I would love to see. I have looked but nothing that grabs me Marylee I put the worktop sample upside down sorry! I know what you mean re more wood though I have seen lots of examples where people have done it successfully. I guess it would have to match exactly. It's giving me such a headache!!

Hi @brynna_vetch How exciting taking the plunge and choosing colours! I really like the green, it looks like a really nice medium warm green which is perfect for your space. There's two ways I would be inclined to go with this - either commit to the green and have them all in harmony with each other. It would certainly keep the kitchen looking consistent and add some more colour to the room - you're so lucky to have such a bright space. Or you could keep a contrast but in a subtle way - maybe look at having an off white colour to match the walls (possibly a really really light dove grey) for the rest of the units that are already undercoated. I would always tend to say make the island the darkest colour so it feels freestanding and becomes the feature of the room. If you want my personal opinion, I would say go for the green all round. This is a great family space. I wouldn’t use paint to zone the room but, like in you have in the 3D image, zone with the furniture arrangements and rugs. I would merge the seating and piano into 1, with a large rug to define, centralise the seating area and widen as the chairs are currently interrupting the Flow. Put the piano on the wall beside the smaller door with enough room for a stool and circulation. For colour, introduce lots of low maintenance plants, cushions, paintings.
