Have you ever been in a situation where you wish you had special compartments in your wardrobe to make your life easier when finding what you would like to wear?

Never that organized but since retired have tried a system of sloppy t shirts, dress shirts, casual shirts, dress slacks, jeans etc. And that is a help. Color coordinating would probably be a good idea but since I'm not working I'm usually not in a rush to get ready.

Hello Isidora – I see your post was a while ago but I would like to offer a few thoughts about this important issue. As you suggest storage needs to be thought about and planned for - I see others have made some interesting contributions. I see support for open clothes rails, built in and other thought provoking arrangements. My friend found a usefull resource that describes how to solve this problem at low cost – plus an extra consideration that needs thinking about. There is a new book: www.KeithJamesClarke.com that describes in a Case Study (CS 6) how to create a perfect Walk-in Wardrobe at very low cost. Have a look at the website. And whats the extra consideration? It has been designed to allow natural light into the space... moths don't like light – so no big surprises with holes in your most cherished clothes! When changing the doors, I would add a door to the middle section too, unless you particularly want to keep it open. If you do want it open, I would Replace the top shelves with two or three higher, shallower shelves and add a mirror below so it could be used as a dressing table. I would definitely opt for anything other than cream to make it more modern... The colour would depend on what other furniture, soft furnishings and window dressings you have in the room.
