French Door Openings - unable to swing back 180'

Hi I have just dissapointingly , after finally making my decision, been told regs dont allow French Doors to open right back so then can be hinged nr to the wall of the house.I had this done previously but that was around 20yrs ago & have been advised its standard to only open 90' but you can have top bracket which you can unhinge to another 45'.Absolutely gutted as wanted feeling open space straight onto my patio.By folds not an option due to kitchen layout and price.
I no technically someone can change beading afterwards but I was wanting my renovation signed off as passing all the checks.And opening the doors into the kitchen wont help.
Is there a solution, I fear not but just thought I would put my dilemma out there.

135 degrees isn’t so bad ?! Means there’s room for a pot plant outside, either side of the doors ! I know it’s frustrating, but I guess the logic behind the rules is to keep you and visitors to your home safer. Watching with interest !

I just finding a lot of todays regs is health and safety gone mad. My previous French doors fitted by Coldseal,yes probably 15yrs or so ago were pretty wide and could be hooked practically back to the wall,never ever had a problem with the doors dropping or safety and my kids were little back then. It seems the minute you put a new build part onto an older house practically all the character has to go, all new fire doors, goodbye to my lovely old cottage doors, cant have open plan kitchen diner if stairs in middle of house, so gotta put fire doors up between kitchen and dining room, unless you live in London, and then its ok to have a 4k sprinkler, but even thats not good enough if you live where I live.Dont get me wrong my house will look amazing and its been a massive challenge ,never done anything like this before just no my builder well and fell in love with my house and wanted to renovate. The hardest thing being I want everything signed off as passing regs so I no certain corners so to speak cannot be cut.

Open out! Why take up space inside?? I was at a customer's house this week, and the builder had told her that the doors couldn't be opened further outwards, so that they laid almost flat against the sides. The bars on the top of the doors can be adjusted to open a long way or a short way, they might not go completely flat against the frame, but they will go quite a way!

Swapping the white cabinet and glass table has worked well. I think french chairs looked better in the window but angle them towards each other slightly to make look a little less formal. That still leaves an empty space in the middle of the room tho. Hope you don't mind but I've had a little play with one of your pictures just for some inspiration. I've added a floor lamp instead of table lamp, statement armchair, footstool/ottoman, and a mirror/ art above the white cabinet. One is more modern and the other continues the french theme.

I had hardwood bi-folds fitted last year and it took me ages to decide what to get. The reason I finally chose bi-folds was I use all my garden doors several times a day even in the winter and just opening the one section is easy and folds back neatly and doesn’t catch the wind as easily. There also have magnetic catches. And opening three sections is very neat and gives the biggest opening. However these openings are only two metres wide. Where I have a 2.4 opening I’ve got French windows and the 60cm doors fold back and hook onto the side windows well. Tbh bi-folds aren’t my favourite but they best suited the openings.

Hello, if you don't want sight lines then I wouldn't have Crittall to be honest (unless you wanted Crittall without the cross bars of course?? as they are super busy and won't give you a clear view of the garden) We opted to go for bi-folds with slimmer sight lines and wider panes so there would be less lines. On your size opening, it would take 3 bi-fold panes which means the central one is just glass. If you had sliding doors then you would likely have 2 panels with the bar being right in the middle (unless you can slide them into pocket doors!) Bi-folds - they even do frame-less bi-folds now or ones with the lines super narrow so I would get prices for those. It also depends on your garden - as you say, because we had the bi-folds leading directly onto a patio area. If you have to step down then the garden will feel quite separate anyway and so you don't benefit from having an open 'room' as you would with a semi flush or flush threshold and bi-folds doors. In that case, Alu french doors with side panels that don't have all the cross bars would likely be the cheapest option for you.
