Matching worktop and splashback

Is it a no no to have the worktop and a full height splash back matching? I am having a new cream wood painted kitchen and have chosen laminate oak block work tops and a full height splash back to match. The full height splash back will be on two walls. That's the wall with the hob and the other wall has the sink and a 6ft window. I am fed up with tiles and grout and thought this would be a maintenance free option but I am now having doubts that it will look too much. I am also having a light click luxury vinyl floor. There doesn't seem to be that many pictures on line with this look so I am wondering if I have done the right thing.
