Hi Karen, What a fantastic statement sofa - this is going to look great in your Living room. I would suggest you keep all your walls one colour, as the impact will be from your sofas, but I’d avoid putting a darker colour behind your sofa as it may result in this statement blending into the wall colour and not having the ‘wow’ piece you are wanting. I would recommend either Potters Clay 3, which is a pale, greyed off, taupe colour, or Chalk Blush 3 which is a pale, redder toned neutral. Both of these colours have a red undertone so will sit nicely against the purple colouring in your sofa. I’ve picked out a gorgeous mirror and lamp which I think will look great in your living room (below). Hi Louise, this is a really interesting discussion, thank you for sharing and looks like it was a great feature! Me personally, I think the secret of my success is being passionate and loving what I do. Then everything else follows naturally! To achieve a work/life balance I have to be quite strict with myself, and recognise I need time to relax to be at my best. I am currently really inspired by the Scandinavian lifestyle - my boyfriend is Danish and I am trying to learn more about 'Hygge'. It's all about being comfortable, getting cosy and appreciating the little things such as a hot cup of coffee and lighting candles. That being said, with Summer approaching I'm excited to start spending more time outdoors - pretty sunsets always inspire me and make me feel good!

Remember to look at the aspect of the room, before going for a strong teal colour. It’s extraordinary how different the colours look, depending on whether the room faces north, south, east, or west. And don’t forget nighttime with electric lighting. Also, if your sofa is a deep teal, you could choose a much paler aqua/greeny blue, for your feature walls, and the other walls maybe an even paler shade than those, if your room is light. On the other hand, if the room is a bit gloomy, you could use a contrasting and complementary colour for the feature walls, such as a deep gold, a warm peach, or apricot, or even a warm soft pink (similar, maybe, to F&B’s Setting Plaster or Pink Ground). Depends upon what colours you actually like, as you have to live with it. Teal is basically a blue green, so if not using teal and its paler tones for walls, look for colours that are warm, on the opposite side of the colour wheel.

Hello HU-34916151, How about a compromise. Blue and yellow make green so, one wall blue one wall yellow and the next green.... Yay sorted? probably not. But in all seriousness, how about a graphic solution. Divide the walls in two. How about (NB monitor colours) Khaki and green So if just dividing, just paint the 2 colours you like on a piece of paper and see if they fit. Also try the others you did not like as when you put two colours together they may look good and compliment each other. Tiling with different greens A green mural A botanical green theme Abstract Mural I hope these start some ideas or at least what you do not want. Have fun :)
