Kitchens Dining Rooms

Any good online kitchen planners?

Trying to sketch up my kitchen floor plan, have all the dimensions but want to move appliances around, play about with orientation of island/table. Can anyone recommend an easy site to do this, thanks!

I'm looking for one too, the Ikea one doesn't work any more. At least I cannot log in and pick up the layout I'd saved a while back.

I agree made.com is a good option, both for table/chairs and for a corner sofa which is the style I'd go for - modern, good way to 'zone' space, neat and comfy. The mendini was my favourite for style and comfort. Or Venturi though this was a bit bigger I think. Percy are lovely dining chairs, though Ikea now have similar & tables too so worth checking also. Too much choice sometimes.

don't know if you want to give a bad name to Ikea . that kitchen planning is quite easy. Measure your walls and try to fit the units in these walls in the kitchen planer with side panels too. that will make it easier if you end up with places smaller than a unit but too big for a scribe panel . and despite what others will say,Ikea is damn good. make sure you assembled right all units then when you are certain you didn't missed any part,lose the screws and apply PVA on the joints. . I did that on few kitchens. except the occasional paint crack(expensive kitchens get that too) and hinge readjustments,no unit got self disassembled. all in there right :)

Hi S, Regarding the blinds, we would recommend having matching blinds for the french doors and the window. You might like to consider having sunscreen roller blinds as they provide some privacy and shading without blocking all the light. Here are some examples of sunscreen blinds we have installed. The simplest way is to shop around with one plan so you can compare like for like. So work out the layout either yourself or with an independent pro like us. Then email or drop your plans and item list into all the showrooms that offer the look you are after. That way you are giving the retailers/trade counter/online shop what they need to price it. You won’t feel beholden to any particular showroom who you may have asked to spend time designing for you and you don’t waste ( yours and their) time with different planners/sales people from lots of places who each want to come and measure up etc . There’s Floor Planner and a few free downloadable ones on apps too - but please, please, please get your own design safety checked by a credible designer before you order anything ! It’s a big investment, and needs to be safe, as you will be living with it for a long time !

Personally I think doing a little planning yourself is a great place to start but there have been several posts on here where people have made horrible mistake and not noticed.
Please get a professional design before you buy. This is service is available in most independent kitchen showrooms as part of your purchase or a modest fee you can appoint a professional for a design that you can take to a kitchen manufacturer/supplier
