I love the coziness of this chair. I’m just worried about durability with Ashley furniture.

He said he liked the chair but is concerned with stability as well. He said “why don’t you just get a king hickory chair?” So with that, we decided on option 2 and I have the chairs dimensions taped out.

A7 for rd66. Furniture is so bulky and I understand the sentimental value. Unless you want your home to be a museum it might be a case of choosing a few favourite pieces and then letting the rest go. It's hard because there is always a bit of your heritage in each piece but remember every antique piece of furniture carries a story - a bit of history. We all treasure that. You might be able to find a lovely home for some of your grandfather's pieces. For the pieces you don't like or have no value.... you know what I'm going to say.... Some people take photographs of the treasured items, or why not a video? It is a way of keeping the memory and then being able to let go of the piece, whether it's china, glass, furniture or ornaments.

Seems to depend on the colour, Berry is terrible, 2.5 litres to do 2 average walls and a very clear shade difference between where it was rollered and cut in with a brush, 1 out of 10. Sapphire is better but it still it is very hard to get total coverage even with 2 coats, the cutting in does not look as obvious so I was happy with that. Just tried the Colourcourage range at B&Q, great colours, nice to work with and an entire bedroom done with 2.5 litres and some to spare, 10 out of 10. Used F&B as well, some colours are great, others are shocking, Card Room Red to three Coates to get full coverage, not acceptable.

I was just reading the comments above and I thought I would draw it up for you. This is a really small room, as soon as you start dividing it up the space will feel ridiculously cramped with all your belongings. I suggest you make your own shelving and desk or hire a carpenter to make you something bespoke for you as it is such a small space. Give yourself a long desk, half for computer half for painting. Where normal depth furniture will hinder door access put your tv area. Put storage beneath your desk area. More importantly instead of having an intrusive book case put a shelf that goes all of the way around the room just above door height. You do not need to acccess your books everyday so make use of the limited space you have and put them up high. This also allows more wall space for your artwork. Let us know how it all goes

Looking for an affordable red 2 or 21/2 seater sofa.

I would have thought vintage furniture would be a good bet since it was made smaller than most furniture now and is often more affordable. If you're set on red then I would consider scouring ebay in the hope you get lucky or buying a nice vintage two seater and getting it re-upholstered.
