Small Dining room decoration help!
Comments (5)Hi Eilidhmca, Congratulations on your new home! Trying to choose colours when you have a period property as well as limited natural light, can be quite a challenge. For an elegant and timeless shade, use Dulux Steel Symphony 4 from our colour mixing range. This calming muted blue tone works beautifully on the walls and echoes the Scandinavian style, which will work perfectly with your classic blue Aga. To ensure that your scheme will look great for longer, use our Endurance+ finish paint. Specially formulated with Diamond Technology, it is 20x tougher than our conventional matt paint. As for your chosen dining table, it will work effortlessly within your dining room. For a complete Rustic-Scandi inspired dining area, use a mix of bench and dining chair seating. We love how these different chair styles in white and statement lighting create a fabulous characteristic dining table layout. Comments (4)Thanks Carol. My thoughts too but was originally going to tile the whole room but was stopped by the boss which I reckon was right. Was going to tile to floor and include two tile shelves so I will go ahead and finish this. Also intend to continue the tiles from under the window to the corner plus an edging. However I don't like the edging so will change for another design....See MoreHELP: How to decorate my lounge?
Comments (15)It does depend on your taste, but I would go for contrasting rather than matching art - something that really pops out of the wall. We have a similar colour scheme to you in our sitting foom and I have gone for abstract art (which I recently discovered a love of). Sorry its not a very good pic of it, but I love the picture, and the colours suit and contrast with the room. There are some really good online retailers - this one was from King and McGaw....See MoreI need help with decor and sofa colours
Comments (5)Lovely space, but there’s not much point in having a tv without any seating facing it unless you never watch it. Colour wise they look fine together. Maybe add some blue cushions on the taupe sofa? Also a nice big rug to zone the sofas together and add cosiness would be good. The room does look a little unfinished so add art on the walls, lamps, cushions, coffee table/footstool and maybe a plant or two. It’s a great space, just needs cosying up. Here’s some ideas for accessorising....See MoreCor
