Assemble required?

Can you advise what assemble is required? Is the back panel solid wood or can it be easily cut open for cable management?

The cabinet itself is fully assembled and need only be placed onto the leg assembly. The back is veneered MDF, which can easily be cut open. I must advise, however, that due to a warehouse relocation, our lead times are currently running slightly longer than is usual. Thank you for your interest.

I've also wondered this and thought that photocopying them would be the best option. You could either take your stuff and arrange it on the copier yourself and print out. Or, if they are all on your pc, you could put them into Word (or photoshop etc) and they can printed out from a USB stick. Go to somewhere like a Staples that do large photocopying/printing in say A6 sizes. You can then pva them onto the wall with a watered down pva solution, or use wallpaper paste (test the paper first to see how it reacts as paste might make them too soggy) will be faster that way and if you leave it, you still have all the originals

Ok, this is a great space so easy to fix. People might give you specific advice but really it depends on your taste. There are 3 important things you are lacking that will fix your room - zoning, texture and lighting. zoning - if you can walk into a room and read it immediately it translate as boring. To fix this you need to draw the eye around the room. You can use furniture, art, points of interest to do this. Perhaps a cool chair outside the bathroom door or a chaise lounge. Perhaps a big banana plant or fiddle fig between your windows. Perhaps a huge piece of art above the bed. Perhaps some cool wallpaper art there (check out Curious Egg). A reading nook? How about filling that massive space between the end of your bed and wardrobes? You could put a huge pouffe, love seat or ottoman on a rug there so it looks a bit like a dressing room area with seating. Anthropologie do some great options. texture - you need a huge rug to go partially under your bed and soften the room. Try French connection home or la redoute for affordable options. Why not texturise the wall your bed is against. Do the whole wall or a textured headboard made of timber etc. Abigail ahern does some great, easy to assemble faux wall options. Again I would recommend plants. Not everyone likes these I need a bedroom but again Abigail ahern does some great fauxs. lighting - the room is very light and bright but at night it probably can look a bit stark or cold. I would definitely advocate some free standing lights. These should be near whatever zones you create. Certainly I would have some bedside lamps and maybe a taller freestanding lamp elsewhere. Rule of thumb in a room this size is at least 5 lamps or freestanding lighting units! finally, if you like neutrals and want to avoid colour, neutral colour through texture is a great solution. A beni oudain rug, a large sheepskin over the bottom of the bed, a large wicker chair. And of course, plants. good luck!

I don't want to sound negative but now you've got the house I'd suggest you stand back for a moment, work out all the tasks needed on the job, the order they happen and who would do them, as well as working out how much you can spend and all the decisions/actions you need to make (eg choosing bathroom equipment, establishing the asbestos situation...). Did you say you are in IT? If so, its the same as planning one of your projects. But most of all if you want to get done very quickly and painlessly, you need to find a builder who can cover as much of the work as possible and who you like, trust and can afford. If you can't afford the full renovation, then look to cut back tasks or postpone parts, and, as you say, do all the decorating yourself room by room once the builder is done. (Is this house to live in? If so, perhaps look at the work to be habitable and then schedule the work over a longer period). If you find a good builder they will answer all your questions, go through the quote and help you bring it back to budget or split it into phases. Remember a contingency as well. You're unlikely to get a last minute quick bargain on tradesmen at the moment! If you are at home all week, it's feasible to dip in and out with different tradesmen, but if you're not on site who is going to check they're there and answer all the questions that arise during their work? I was tempted and got a cloakroom done by someone who happened to be available last year and it's soon to be redone by my regular plumber. Also, be aware that it might take you until April to source some of your equipment and supplies-I've ordered for a new bathroom and some of the items are already delayed to end February.
