Glass ideas for internal oak doors?
Comments (23)Hello. Those doors are beautiful and do not need glass that will block your view and compete for attention. My suggestion is to have clear glass. If you can find old style antiqued glass, or handmade glass that would be my vote. Otherwise just use plain glass. The key is the view through the doors (both ways). The doors will function as a frame so arrange furniture accordingly. I suggest new long curtains that hang closer to the ceiling. A beautiful neutral linen, or something that excites you. If you hang a vibrant or patterned curtain then your black sofa (is it a chair?) will not dominate the view through the doors. If you elect for a neutral curtain, then you may want to relocate the black sofa in favour of a more neutral piece. Beautiful home, what we can see of it. Good luck!...See MoreBiFolding doors, internal blind yay or nay
Comments (3)Hi Christine If you haven't already purchased the doors, an option you could consider is the Centor Integrated Folding Door. It's available in a range of configurations – a 5 panel option is available. Designed for homes, you can choose a built-in blind and/or insect screen, both of which are fully serviceable. Regarding thermal properties, the use of an integrated Blackout blind can improve the U value by 0.2. Good luck with your search and please get in touch should you have any questions. Comments (21)Hi Sunny. If you need the dining table there I would definitely go for a banquet style seating area that can be pulled out when required but give enough space on a daily basis for passing sensibly. It seems like this space would really benefit from a 3D render package allowing you to visualise the space and how it will look when finished. You would then be able to try a few different options on the door front as well as the seating area. They don't only allow you to visualise the space saving you from making costly mistakes but you can then also use them when sourcing and with contractors to get your ideas and requirements across more clearly. I added a few images from some our recent 3D's to give you an idea of what you get (usually 5/7 images of each space). I look forward to hearing more on your new space. All the best, Gina...See MoreHow do I replace a Glass above the door?
Comments (19)Now I can see the whole thing I think its the first video. I think where the curve goes flat in to the frame is the line of the connection of the bead to the frame. can you try tapping a chisel or old screwdriver in to that joint, mid point is the easiest place to try....See MoreChristine Harrison Fine Art and Mosaics
