Wall lights

Hi, I've picked some pendant lights I love for our kitchen island and need to decide on the wall lights. The kitchen is a traditional in frame shaker kitchen with an exposed brick wall. Which wall lights do you think go? Welcome to any suggestions of alternatives. (1st image is of the pendants I've chosen) thanks in advance

Hello, I have a lot of ideas for you! Before anything else I always first suggest people to think of their style they like and start off from there to make life easier. We all have some style we like or it could be even multiple. This Living area looks beautiful, feautering Traditional/Rustic style. I collected some images for your inspiration that I hope it will help. You got to think of what style you would like to have, or how is it going to be the interior decorated cause that counts as well. You said you wouldn't like to go for nothing fancy or traditional. I would suggest you the spot lights to keep your space bright, and they would actually look pretty nice fitted in the the beams. A contemporary style chandelier would also look great in the middle of the room, you could consider glass lamps, they are very popular. I also thought of Industrial style and added a pendant light. How to keep the wall lights in the alcoves while adding the shelves?

As the two people above have suggested, you could definitely add in a subtle LED lights hidden under the shelves so you wouldn't know they are there - this is a great way of adding a glowing aurora to the room and just adding some extra ambience - that way you won't lose the light that you currently have in this area. Antique, speckled and distressed mirror panels are really proving popular at the moment, they are a great way to boost and reflect light around the room but also offer a subtle feature design. Again, you could add in some low warm white thin LED strips just so it offers some additional light and glow in that area. Do you have any images of the current lights/chimney set up as it currently is so that we can see what you have and come up with some more tailored ideas for you? How weird is that?! 😂 No, i took out my wall lights as when we moved in the majority of wall lights were old fashioned but that has changed somewhat! Personally, i always prefer a round mirror over a fire, something with a slim frame like above

But feel that the ones with the exposed bulb will work very well too. Only question is, will the exposed bulb be a little bit annoying or not. And does it give enough light?

I think any of them will work as the black and style ties them in. Just found this one as an alternative to also tie in the enamel/gloss on the pendant, it's from rockett st George. My only thought is do you think the pendants will emit enough light?

I am a little apprehensive about how much light the pendants might give off as I'm not a massive fan of spotlights, but I think we may end up needing them...
