Thank you! The homeowner selected the final paint colors and unfortunately I don't have a record.

Hi Cesca, as your kitchen is quite dark I would go for white cupboards and natural wood worktops, something like your table and chairs. This I would live without changing as I think they looks very nice. I would move the table 50cm from the kitchen cabinets and put some nice carpet just under the table and the chairs to make the space warmer and more cozy. I would paint the walls with light green and add some colourful details. White ir light grey curtains would also make your kitchen look special. If one day you decide to change the floor go for natural wood.

Here’s an update half way through. Walls are done in dulux swansdown. Door and architrave dulux white satin. The island is little green ceviche. The wall cupboards are not finished but being done in Neptune shell. Should I get the painter to do the island in shell instead to match wall cabinet? Or possibly shingle?

Just another thought...if you are tall go for a counter 950mm from the floor ( or whatever works for your back ) im 5ft 7 ish and that's how tall my cabinets are ( we have 100mm high benches, so that gives extra height..not just the feet on the cabinets ) You don't want to be bending at the wrong height all day Not comfortable.

Blue (sofa) and creamy/yellow (walls and to a certain degree carpet) will always fight so something has to give. I think the creamy wall behind the sofa is too light, too sickly and too yellowy. Whilst I'm not particularly keen on the wallpaper, I think the cream walls are throwing it out. If they were fixed, you may be able to keep the carpet, and perhaps add a rug. I don't think painting the walls blue will help either, it won't connect with the wallpaper. If keeping the wallpaper you may want to find a more taupey neutral that blends with the new sofa, old sofa and wallpaper. The curtains are yellowy too. A good plan it to keep to yellows, creams and warm neutrals of go for taupes, greys and blues. Mixing them is very tricky.
