Design Dilemma Kitchens

Help finding name of this backsplash!

I found a picture of this backsplash on pinterest and love it! From the pictures it looks like it would go really well with Cambria Berwyn quartz countertop. A nice mix of soft grey, beige, and white.

Does anyone recognize it? It's from an article on Homeideas.co, but there is only a picture and not a description.

I think it is more of a Carrara than a Calacatta, but certainly looks like marble.

Just an update on the backsplash dilemma that I had...I finally managed to find something nice and worthwhile. My dad and I did the tiling which was a steep learning curve as I never did this before in my life. But its an amazing feeling when you do something and it works out well in the end.

If budget will stretch you could look at coloured glass. Most glaziers can put any colour on the back for you and template the area with sockets included then fit it all relatively quickly. Having a solid colour could help things look less fussy between the pattern of the wood grain and speckle of the worktop plus it really helps expand the space (as you look through it) and bounce the light around to brighten the space slightly.

I finished my kitchen project last year and used I think about 8 or 9 different shades of grey all F&B. I mixed and matched so that they were all the same cool tones but every wall was painted a different colour - I did buy Pigeon but it was relegated to be used for something else. Its quite a subtle effect but you really get the change of light and shade at different times of the day and in different lights. I can't remember them all but I'll check my plan tonight and let you know tomorrow. I have a dark grey gloss kitchen in a period house with slate floor and wooden work-surfaces and I'm really pleased with the results. if you haven't committed to one shade you might give it a go! Its only paint!

Tiles are one way to introduce some pops of colour in your kitchen. If you are worried about the grout discolouring, use epoxy grout which is more resilient to liquid staining. Also, if you use a coloured grout, discolouration will be less noticeable. If you choose textured tiles with rectilinear edges, grout lines are almost invisible. Using tiles can look more traditional compared to glass or stainless steel. The problem with stainless steel is keeping it looking good. Drip marks and grease are instantly noticeable. Glass is less obvious when splashed. They are both more industrial and modern looking. What about using the same material that makes up your worktop as the splashback? Most manufacturers of manmade worktops also do an 11mm thick splashback and upstand.

That kitchen is located in my city (in fact, I live less than a 10 min drive from it), it was part of the Parade of Homes of Salt Lake last year. The builder is Silverhawk Enterprises, the wife is the designer. Absolutely stunning home, my favorite of the whole parade! I bet she would tell you if you reached out to them :)
