Comments (8)Completely agree with Jonathan. I have seen a couple of 70s houses modernised fantastically in my area, both with some type of grey/grey wood cladding in parts. It retains the 'character' (I'm sure in 50 years time this architecture will be to die for!) whilst giving it a modern twist. I also think the house is very 'garage heavy' so I would get a really modern garage door (possibly wooden) and try and have a balcony above to distract from it. See this fab example... Comments (4)I like MATH's idea to go dark, don't think you have to paint the door surrounds though. Dark colours sort of disappear, and it looks great as a background for plants too. Could you add windows, either flanking the doors or as in the example below? Depending on how you want to place furniture. The more light, the larger it seems on the inside. Comments (16)I had grey/white porcelain marble effect tiles in my last bathroom with a light grey grout and they never needed a proper cleaning as never looked dirty. However, it costs us over £1k just to tile and about £600 for the tiles! so I think some panelling around the shower would help reduce costs...See MoreHelp!
