Quality of bi-fold doors
Comments (4)From all our suppliers we have not had an issue come back to us. as for leaks the gaskets should always sort this problem unless not properly fitted. when closed the doors will be fully waterproof. and when open any water that gets into the track will filter through weep holes located underneath the frame and out onto the cill. I guess the horror stories are from ill fitted doors or poor fabrication. like I said we spend time sourcing our manufacturer and supplier so problems are extremely rare. as for the even door panels I just like to make people aware before they buy. glad to hear you have a work around on this. the 2/2 door option woukd mean the locking mechanism is in the center. im not sure how the seals would hold as we havnt fit one to this spec....See MoreBi-fold doors: yes or no?

We made the framework from Accoya timber which is highly resilient to moisture....See MoreSliding, Bi-Fold or Patio doors?
Comments (6)I had hardwood bi-folds fitted last year and it took me ages to decide what to get. The reason I finally chose bi-folds was I use all my garden doors several times a day even in the winter and just opening the one section is easy and folds back neatly and doesn’t catch the wind as easily. There also have magnetic catches. And opening three sections is very neat and gives the biggest opening. However these openings are only two metres wide. Where I have a 2.4 opening I’ve got French windows and the 60cm doors fold back and hook onto the side windows well. Tbh bi-folds aren’t my favourite but they best suited the openings....See MoreMarienne Pachonick Architects
