I'd say we all want to live in that lovely house we passed whilst on the way to go brambling with a jam jar in our hand and high hopes of a good day. Maybe it was the gates, or the gravel driveway that appealed, and it even had stone pillers and Georgian windows . And I'd wait and stare, and wait and stare curious about who lived there and hoping they'd drive out allowing me a quick glimpse of another world. Them. Then I'd feel ashamed stood there in my jumble-sale-new clothes, bothered that perhaps someone might come out and ask me what was I doing. I learnt it was a very rich person home, a shipbuilder who owned a shipping fleet and I wanted to copy him, if he could do it- then so could I. So that man and that lovely house blighted my life for the best, and it still does. I love this house and stop outside it whenever I pass by. I'm heart broken, and I'm a big strong man and big strong men are not allowed to cry. That adopted house is my comfort blanket, my home, and I go to sleep and it becomes mine.This is my lounge, this my garden, this gate is mine, and please come in when you go brambling. Don't walk on by, share it with me, you can adopt upstairs or the fireplaces, or ceiling coving and florals, I won't mind.

Thanks so much Angie - what a help you’ve been! I’m so happy I have a name to research now You’re a dear for taking the time to look those up for me. Can I ask, your Money Plant, is it growing the way mine is? I was reading an article that had a photograph. It looked similar to my Money Plant but didn’t actually have a label. It stated that if the plant looked the way my Money Plant did, it was under nourished and stretching to reach the light. It may not have been a Money Plant in the article in the first instance but it made me feel sad that one of my plants may be feeling neglected. Also, are the extra sprouts on the Money Plant removable or is it usually to leave them there. What book would you recommend for a beginner looking to identify my plants? It sounds as if you’ve got a good knowledge of these things! How lovely your plant grew from a little snippet - it’s always so gorgeous to see them grow from something so small. Thanks again Angie, sorry for all the questions but I appreciate your knowledge so much.

Hi Sunny, I'm guessing the layout is like this then? Which is why you wanted a 900mm wide shower. I'd actually go with the 900 x 1200 as it's longer and will suit the room better, plus, if the layout is like this, then you have the room for it. Here's a link to all those in that size from Victorian Plumbing, so depends what your style is. Victorian Plumbing. They sell loads, so i'm sure you'll be able to find one that will suit. One thing to watch out for is the size of the basin and toilet. You will be better off with a short projection toilet and don't come out too far with the basin either as the space to exit out of the bath will be lessened. Regards to flooring, tiles etc, that's personal choice. What style do you like, what colours do you like, and most importantly what is your budget for the project?

Blue (sofa) and creamy/yellow (walls and to a certain degree carpet) will always fight so something has to give. I think the creamy wall behind the sofa is too light, too sickly and too yellowy. Whilst I'm not particularly keen on the wallpaper, I think the cream walls are throwing it out. If they were fixed, you may be able to keep the carpet, and perhaps add a rug. I don't think painting the walls blue will help either, it won't connect with the wallpaper. If keeping the wallpaper you may want to find a more taupey neutral that blends with the new sofa, old sofa and wallpaper. The curtains are yellowy too. A good plan it to keep to yellows, creams and warm neutrals of go for taupes, greys and blues. Mixing them is very tricky.
