Our new grey bathroom looks brown
Comments (8)Hi there, You might try and change the colour of your bulbs if it's the artificial light causing the colour distortion. Ie they usually do a warm white or a cool white in bulbs so it's worth trying that first. If it's natural light causing it then accessory wise you could go with any colour. Red, hot pink & even a rich cobalt blue (mostly warm tones) would brighten it up a bit....See MoreAdvice needed for Bathroom Renovation - Tiles and Colour Scheme
Comments (16)When I moved in this house the previous owners had proper bathroom tiles in the bathroom but when wet they were ridiculously slippy. So my first concern would definitely be finding out if they are slippy when wet. Re aesthetics, I really like Carolina’s pic mixing wood effect tile with the white and black. I like the high shine of the large format tiles but just looking at them makes me scared of slipping....See MoreBath in main bathroom or just a shower?
Comments (5)When we had our family bathroom redone, we agonised for a long time about having a bath and shower or just a shower in there. We thought that although we only have a shower in the master en-suite. as one of the guest bedrooms has a bath in the en-suite, we would only have a shower in the family bathroom as it more suited the way we live and we were doing the bathrooms for US and not someone who may buy it in the future. We concluded as long as there was a bath somewhere, this was enough for any future resale. Incidentally, as there is only 2 of us (and the cats) now I use the master en-suite as "my" bathroom and the OH uses the family bathroom as "his". He did get the better deal though, because we still have yet to re-do the master en-suite, so it's really crappy....See MoreHow many recessed LED light should I install in our small bathroom

I am now worried about the ceiling being dark and having shadows in between, It looks like I need bigger spotlights probably 16cm in diameter? Probably my calculations were wrong? perhaps I need 80 lumens per sq ft. Dimmable LEDs. Yes, I will consider wall lighting especially near the mirrors...See MoreUser
