Need help on paint colour/theme- new build!
Comments (5)Here's my advice, don't even think about doing it all at once, it's a nightmare. Start in your kitchen and living area and really focus on a three colour focus, a neutral, mid colour and a highlighter depending on your taste. I'm currently doing my area in grey/ green/teal. Then when you are living in it, take your time and develop the theme into the next room because as you live in it , you can decide do you like it and then perhaps vary the tones up and down or change the proportions of the colours and textures. Spend time looking through websites and catalogues and just don't jump at the first thing you see. I have looked at Magnolia walls now for five years and eventually as I worked through each room it became more enjoyable and less of a headache and I could manage it better rather then one big mammoth task....See MoreWall colours for my New Kitchen
Comments (18)Thanks for sharing the pics. That looks stunning ! Actually whole theme works very well I can see how the black wall is coordinating so well with your pendant lights and sofa.Taupe is going really nice with white units, will get the tester sample on the weekend to try on the walls....See MoreCan't decide on colour scheme for new kitchen!
Comments (16)I will have to have a look at the paint samples again as can’t remember all the tones. I’m sure we had Cornforth on our interior doors and it was a lilac tone grey in some lights? Anyone back that up? Nice colour but have to be careful what you pair it with. I don’t personally think you have to match your kitchen to your woodwork colour in the adjacent room unless you really like the colour and had envisaged it for your units? Re the finish. At least if you get them sprayed up locally, you can always pop a door over to get done which is cheaper than having to buy a new door via the kitchen company. That’s the only reason I wanted to paint my own units ie because it’s so hard to touch up sprayed units as they just don’t blend in the same....See MoreHow to upgrade kitchen with new tiles and paint colours
Comments (3)Not a bad little kitchen. There are lots of lovely tiles you can replace the metro tiles with. I think vinyl sheeting in a wood effect pattern would be nice, assuming the floor is suitable. It needs a very flat surface for vinyl. Here’s some ideas, but there are loads more....See MoreGranite Supply Uk Ltd
