What style to decorate this room?
Comments (8)You have some really great stuff! and it shouts transitional, so I'd suggest you go with that. I think all you need to do is organising what you have in the first place and then see what else you need or is missing. You could do an art gallery type thing with your photos /canvases on the wall with the sideboard; a large painting/ print on the chimney breast behind the sofa. Consider having a shelf on top of the radiator, you could have a couple of accessories there or use it as a console table. And a large, luxurious plant where the dining chairs are now. https://www.houzz.com/magazine/a-gallery-wall-for-every-personality-stsetivw-vs~538039 The other thing I'd consider doing if it was my place would be to call a carpenter to arrange the TV/ fireplace side of the room. Some built-ins would be great there, especially if you could integrate the fireplace in it - it looks a bit stranded there at the moment. Something like below, but with the TV on the side. (last pic is from our former house; we had it built using the photo before it as inspiration)....See Morewhat should i do with my decorative old drums?
Comments (9)Aww these are pretty amazing just as they are and I'd leave them as is. If you REALLY wanted to do something might it be possible to set them on hairpin legs (like these: http://www.theironmill.co.uk/online-shop/4583956081 ) and make 2 fab side tables?...See MoreReasons Why You Should Hire an Interior Decorator

Hiring an interior decorator is a smart decision if you’ve invested a good bit of money into your home and want to be able to showcase it to look its best. Decorators truly serve a purpose for everyone. Whether you have no idea where or how to begin to decorate your home, or whether you have an idea but need help tying pieces together, or you simply haven’t the time to execute your style and desires due to your busy day to day schedule....See MoreHow should I accessorise my fireplace?
Comments (3)Hi Helen, You’ve done a great job with the renovation - it looks really good! I suggest adding a long shelf to your newly painted fireplace, making a feature of the wall and creating the illusion of a modern mantel. To dress the shelf, add a simple mirror such as this beautiful Heart of House Mirror with golden detailing. Try hanging the mirror so it appears to rest on the shelf to create a stylish, relaxed feel within your living room. http://bit.ly/2dglCsj Pair this with clustered accessories that carry through the golden details of the mirror, and pops of colour to compliment your walls and furnishings. Accessories such as the below would look great in your room: http://bit.ly/2d3BDfG http://bit.ly/2dfx7Mg http://bit.ly/2dgni56 Happy decorating and please let me know how you get on!
