Calling all designers.... new kitchen dilemma's / remodelling
Comments (8)Hi, currently were a blank canvas, and getting ready for extension. I would like to retain the original features of the house, stripped doors and picture rails. We will perhaps look at concrete flooring or worktops in the new extension. Reclaimed parquet or rework our floorboards in the main part of the house. Our main issue is the layout - i quite like freestanding kitchens or even reclaimed peices rather than standard units around. Thanks for getting in touch, ill see if I can collate some images this afternoon to post....See MoreKitchen quotes
Comments (2)When I work out a kitchen quote I offer a supply only price and then a separate fitting price. If the customer wants a component break down I offer them the spreadsheet where all the prices have been compiled. We don't rip them off so it makes no difference....See MoreKitchen Fitting Quote
Comments (6)For 9 units in total and bearing in mind they are already assembled I think it’s expensive. I presume there would be plumbing and depending on whether the hob is gas or electric may include the services of a Gas Safe registered person. So 9 units and associated worktops which may require a joint and cut outs for sink and hob. Splashbacks can be fiddly to fit and cut to a shape. However prices do depend on where you live. For instance London will be expensive. Disposal would mean the hire of a skip but their price for this may be more if you are not on the ground floor as it may be labour intensive dragging items down stairs. I would have though this could be done within the week and if so £3k is expensive. I would look around and seek alternative quotes. Sometimes areas have their FB local site (mine has) and people regularly ask on them for recommendations....See MoreCurrent quotes for a loft or kitchen extension in zone 1/2 London?
Comments (2)I’m afraid nobody could give you a costing with the limited information you have given. My advice is to speak to the guys that run the Accreditus Register, they will help you find a professional builder, get a quote and check the history of all the builders that are quoting for your project free of charge!...See MoreRoseann Moushon
