Please help! bedroom design dilemma
Comments (4)Thanks I've chosen a wallpaper for behind the bed it's a grey shimmer colour. It's called Aquarius Dove Grey (see attached). I was planning to paint the walls in a warm grey colour like Dulux's just walnut. Bedding will be white with a mink throw and cushions to tie in with curtains I already have. They look brown photo but it's mink shimmer. I have a mink shaggy rug, and I've purchased some mirrored bed side cabinets. (See attached) I need to do a moodboard, as it's hard thinking if these colours will all blend together...See MoreBedroom....my dilemma
Comments (21)Oh dear!! Have you not seen any styles you like?? I would ignore the wardrobes for now, they can be painted. Have you not seen a fabric or wallpaper you love that the room could be designed around? Or maybe a navy velvet statement headboard? If you're keen on navy, mustard can warm it up and be used with metallics as per the pic ( ignore style just colour combo), Btw I've been looking at your window again and I'm little worried about a window seat due to the height of the rad and depth of the alcove But that may be camera angles....See MoreSmall bedroom sloped ceiling dilemma
Comments (17)Sometimes, especially with smaller rooms it's better to show more floor space. Don't over crowd the room. I would personally put a single bed under it going in the same direction with the foot under the lowest point of the eaves to give an even better illusion of space. You or the estate agent showing new buyers round can point out that a double bed easily fits still! Add a bedside table, storage such as a small wardrobe is best to show off instead of bed size. In fact, house builders quite often buy small furniture to put in the show houses that make the rooms look larger! I agree it's a small double, but it's a really big single! So make it look as spacious as possible! You can also combine the bed and storage buy putting a cabin bed under the eaves!...See MoreSpare bedroom decoration dilemma
Comments (5)Since it is an east facing room I doubt the oval blue will be too dark but maybe try a paint swatch on the wall to see what it looks like in the light. With the wall paper if you make sure it links one colour from the main room e.g the blue paint it won’t look too chaotic....See MoreJuliet Docherty
