Comments (22)If you wanted you could buy new deep lloyd loom style chairs..they come in all sorts of F&B colours. I wouldn't agonise too much about colour. obviously, you could go for the stone/taupe/ neutral colours but personally I would go for a soft purple/aubergine colour ( think natures colours) which would add the same depth of colour as your walls. Think a colour would mix the room up a bit. A cafe table looks gorgeous with flowers on which leaves room for a drink or magazine, & again, is a nod to the garden. magazines & books are hugely decorative & some say essential for a room. I use old books for the rooms I do & to add emphasis to the furniture I source. You can choose an interior magazine, monthly, with a cover that appeals to add seasonal change. Layer your room gradually , experiment & have fun. keep an eye out for the right lamps, shades & cushions & think big rather than twee. Oh! & essentials I didn't spot but could well be there are paintings & a mirror?!...See MorePaint choices for Georgian sitting room...
Comments (29)Thanks mrsmcee74 for recommending Egyptian cotton, although I have used it before I hadnt really considered it for this room, it really looks great though - its in the part which is east facing, so your comments on that really swung it! Will post photos soon. Also, my painter was pleased as he loves Dulux trade - and something to note, it took only 2 coats of Dulux trade Egyptian Cotton, whereas the F&B lamp room gray took 3 it was so watery... I love the colours that F&B do, but the paint quality of dulux trade (not normal dulux) is much better....See MoreKid's bedroom decor - your choice or theirs?
Comments (11)In our experience, and we mainly specialize in Kids Rooms, most important part comes to parents. The smaller your child is- the bigger part you play in it. But as they grow, they eventually make their own decisions. So it is up to you to make your decisions look like it is their own :) There are many ways to incorporate so much loved cartoon characters to room design not making it 'cheap' looking. You still have to listen to your child....See MoreBathroom colour choice ? (first timer)
Comments (13)Dear Home design School, Spoke Interiors,The big bathroom shop and Carolins, Thank you so much for your time and thoughts. I utterly agree about the dark colours. I'm gonna look at the basalt blue from little green. Really appreciate this. Thank you. Feeling excited about it again :) And Carolin I'm certain i'll go for some pictures inside to, or a painting, to bring the wall to life and give it a personality...See MoreSonia
