how do you keep weeds out?

After reading about best pathways, we put a gravel and flagstone walkway which contains mainly blueberry bushes. We have a terrible time with weeds coming up thru gravel. We even put the black plastic cloth underneath to help keep out weeds. We maintain this ourselves, it’s a weekend and summer cottage. Can you suggest anything? I see all this stone you’re showing, how do you maintain it?

This project actually didn't have much stone or gravel, but it did have large expanses of mulch the first year (as seen in this photo). Ultimately this project was planted densely so as the plants mature, there won't be opportunity for weeds, but the first year did require significant maintenance from the homeowner.

Gravel paths can require a lot of maintenance too if they aren't frequently traveled because it's prime opportunity for many weeds (low competition). Pre-emergent herbicide can help prevent annual weeds seeds from germinating, but if you prefer to avoid chemicals, regular maintenance (pulling, clipping, horticultural vinegar, or fire) is still necessary.

I start taking my decorations down in the days after 2nd Jan but usually leave a few bits up until 5th of January, the evening of which, I (and the Church of England) consider to be Twelfth night. It seems logical to me that Christmas Day is the first Day of Christmas, and twelfth night is the last evening before Epiphany. We keep all of our sharp knives in their own drawer, which has a magnetic bar to keep them in place and to stop them from rubbing on each other and losing their edge. I can't bear too much clutter out on the worktop. Besides, if a murdering maniac bursts in, I don't want to make it too easy for him. I'd like to think by the time, he's opened all the drawers to find the knives, the police will have arrived. LOL

Most independent garden centers or garden supply stores carry it. I think it's appropriate for use on a path but I personally don't like it in the garden. Even though it's "organic", it's still a strong acid and I am afraid it would mess with the soil biology too much.
