Paint Colour Advice Please

I'd like to repaint above the wainscoting in my main floor. It is a broken concept layout plan. I'm thinking of a very light grey but not yet sure enough to do it. I will attach a few pics to describe more. Should I make the whole main floor the same colour? I'm thinking of perhaps a darker grey accent wall above the fireplace. Do I make the entry which is a separate room the same colour as well? I don't have a lot of design experience so any advice would be very much appreciated.

There are lots of greys that are available, it’s just a neutral . I think your current green has been successful with the floor and you might choose a grey with a green quality for the same reason. If you try a tester of a grey with a blue quality you might find it makes the floor appear orange.
Choosing grey for the wall suggests you are considering a more contemporary look. The white used elsewhere will contribute to that look. On my screen the white areas look a little cream, a cooler white would be a more contemporary cleaner choice.

Hi.
Benjamin Moore’s Metro Gray is from the Yellow-Red Hue Family. Looking at your lovely floor, it may well be from the same Hue Family too. There are some warmer stone elements in your feature wall also.

It maybe worth looking at Metro Gray. At least it would give you a ball-park idea of how much lighter or darker a gray you would prefer. It has an LRV of approx 58.

I think a nice light grey to make the units stand out would work well. If you fancy a lighter, more blended look then go with the cream. As Branwhite says above, if it's a dark room, then grey will suck more light out.

Beautiful house! How about taupe? Or white and paint the wooden bits pale grey? First picture below is a local pub but they recently painted over the Tudor black and white look for the grey and i think it looks lovely!

I think you would actually be ok with taking the color over it all. It probably depends more on how you wanted the room to feel. The current lighter tone gives space to the room, but your selection Oval Room Blue, would probably give you a more intimate feel. With white items such as wardrobes etc, it could end up giving a coastal feel which you could build on as a theme with linen bedclothes, lampshades, blinds.
