High ceiling
Comments (7)Oh, I think we need a pro for this one as paint colour that works in the UK for reducing a ceiling height would not in a hot country! Painting the ceiling in a darker shade than the walls is an easy way to reduce height, the colour is the tricky bit! Gut feel is a light beige colour teamed with white walls with a slight beige/pink undertone. Accessorise with maybe dark brown and gold to give the cosy feel as they're not as warm as reds etc which wouldn't work in a S/W room. Hanging pendant lights and artwork low will definitely work and shouldn't require any specialist installation. What colour is all of your furniture at the moment? Definitely try zoning the room for coziness though. Hopefully a pro can verify colour though as I don't want to send you down the wrong track!...See Morehow high to hang poles for eyelet curtains?
Comments (1)Fit the pole 3-4" over the window recess. This will then allow for the upstand part of the eyelet curtains and a space before the ceiling, although some older houses may have higher ceilings....See MoreHow to dress bow/bay window with Curtains and Blinds
Comments (9)Shutters are a classic, timeless look that goes well with various interiors. I found a few client photos with windows similar to yours. We had another client who opted for a boxed pelmet with pinch pleate curtains which could work with your window. It creates a very clean and elegnt look. Plus voiles for extra privacy but still allows light in. Similar but with a voile curtain To save on costs you can forgo the pelemt box, pinch pleats or eyelets look stylish as is....See Morewhere to tile up to on high ceiling bathroom
Comments (30)@Nicola M (Nicola) well we went to a new local tile shop the other day and she persuaded me to stick with the giant tiles, but still tiling them as brickwork effect. I saw an amazing concrete one that was a nice colour, wasn't patchy but was out of our budget (£40sqm)!! eek. My OH just said to order them as he knows how stressed I have been trying to find something I like, LOL. There were some other lovely ones but in the wrong shape ie 600's which I don't like on the wall personally. I haven't ordered them yet but they are typically special order so I my tiler is coming to measure today so I can be sure to have enough. Hence my questions about where to tile to as we are trying to save money, haha. I was going to do the floor as well so it all runs through but I think it will need some pattern/oomph in the room with all grey tiles. These are the ones in the Gris colour. They have lovely veining running through them which I like. https://www.geotiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/CATALOGO-CARNABY-Baja.pdf...See Morerinked
