Is it a standard console that you've used under the sink or is it one specifically for bathrooms?

Our sinks were built in, but their cabinets were low and bending hurt my back. I determined the cabinets could be raised by adding a horizontal board just above the place at bottom that is indented for your toes. It added about five inches, bringing the counters up to the height of our kitchen counters. The board was stained to match the cabinet and is right under where the cabinet doors open. The line of the board is hidden by a length of wood trim. This raising up did require adding pipe to the water lines under the sinks to fill the pipe gap; moving the very large mirrors (no breaks or chips!) upward and moving the lighting above the mirrors up, as well. Took one day of work by carpenter and helper. Well worth the cost.

your welcome from my experience you are always starting again with homes as styles and you change so you will have a head start. I'm always changing things with paint and reinventing rooms but over the years found that the classics especially if originals like yours will always stand the test of time and never go out of style but they dont have to look dated mix it up. if you tire of the carpet which I love think about making it into a huge rug bounded around the edge with what ever colour adorns your walls then would look stunning on a wood floor same with the sink could always be used in another room I would team it with black or even faux marble back drop oh endless fun and NOT AVAILABLE on the high street enjoy your home always

Looking at a named sink means it must be expensive. And Glass! here is an idea. If you make a male mould out of wood..a loving thing to sculpt and offering opportunity to truly personalise it, then heat up a sheet of clear plexiglass or I might mean just perspex, it will at a specific temperature slowly "flow" onto the offered base. I forget the tricks you may need but the web should assist? Use widely radiating curves and no sudden changes of direction. Colour options OK. Will take a drill when cold set. To calculatedly pay for "named" quality and have precision is one thing, but someone once said it is better to experiment than calculate.
