Comments (12)Alarm 6.30 so I can snooze for anything up to 30 mins. Shower, hair, makeup & dressing takes between 30 to 45 mins, pack my lunch & feed cat in around 10 mins. Drive to work 20 mins. Arrive around 8.15 which gives me plenty of time for a coffee and a good natter with colleagues before clocking on and starting my day in a relaxed frame of mind. I'd hate to arrive with only minutes to spare before starting work. Me personally, I think the secret of my success is being passionate and loving what I do. Then everything else follows naturally! To achieve a work/life balance I have to be quite strict with myself, and recognise I need time to relax to be at my best. I am currently really inspired by the Scandinavian lifestyle - my boyfriend is Danish and I am trying to learn more about 'Hygge'. It's all about being comfortable, getting cosy and appreciating the little things such as a hot cup of coffee and lighting candles.
