Rachel: Very nice, but you could've just bought glitter wallpaper y'know? Yeah I know that, but where's the fun in that? Also, my niece has glitter wallpaper in her room and I personally think that it looks awful. It's totally not the same. Also, I'm a man - So I want/have to spend loads more time, loads more money, and loads more effort on doing something that £25's wallpaper would achieve. I wouldn't have been doing it for my brothers out there if I did anything easy. I want to do a job that I can constantly moan about, make a big fuss over, make loads of unnecessary mess, and come across as a total hero to everyone that I tell. What I did was a million times better story than "I put up a few strips of wallpaper" :) AS: Valspar at B and Q do glitter ..... This is actually where I started. Talk about a massive con. It's just paint, with a tiny sachet of really fine glitter (like the old salt'n'shake crisps) that you need to open, pour in, and mix yourself. I would definitely not call it 'glitter paint' by any stretch, more 'standard paint with the odd random piece of glitter'. Now I've purchased the furniture, and put up a few shelves it's actually starting to become a really nice room. It just needs sorting out then it's pretty much complete:

Hello :) We have now plastered and painted first coat of white paint.. now deciding on the type of tiles.. we like the idea of Moroccon style tiles on the floor.. but as the bathroom is pretty narrow.. having a feature on the wall is a bit akward.. Our bathtub will be on the right and toilet under the window (same position as old layout) as all plumbing is already there. Unsure whether to have a concealed cistern toilet unit which can make the area look neater.. But I can't seem to find a good quality looking concealed unit (floor to under window measurement 98cm) width available is 50cm..or should i just go for a standard normal toilet. On the right after the bathtub we will have space for a double vanity sink unit.. opposite wall have a vertical stainless steel radiator... Unsure whether to go for a towel warmer or a vertical radiator? The bathroom will not have underfloor heating. Room dimensions are (length 335cm width 125cm) Any design ideas etc will be appreciated. OK, I have decided that I want one of these, but outside the house, for an outdor spa experience (we have a totally secluded and leafy garden, so I'm not worried about the neighbours. I already have hot and cold feeds outside, and drainage should be pretty easy. But I think concrete has to be the material for the tub, for durability, and it will need a cover. Anyone have any links?

struggling with layout change

Just thought I’d update this with a new layout I’m trying, ha ha. It was still bugging me as it was originally so I moved the sofa back by the window as I had previously tried it and instead of having the table by the back wall - I put it in the middle of the room (well off centre) I also moved he glass drinks cabinet over by the rad which breaks up the large expanse of white. So far it feels a lot better. Lots of space around the sides and between the main sofa and table and window sofa and I get to sit and watch the garden birds properly during the day. Going to live with it for a few more weeks then if I decide I prefer it this way then will move some of the the spider lights over the table! (At the moment we hit them when we walk under, lol!) Overall I don’t really like the tub sofa (maybe because it’s black?) and think just two chairs would look better there but it’s something I can work on in the future. (Please ignore artwork on the walls - I’ve removed it all now until I decide what’s stating!)
