Is the seat height adjustable and what is the maximum height?

Hello!

Seat: 19"L x 18"D x 19"H, it will adjust from 19-22"H for the seat height (actual chair 35-38"H)

I've got exactly a 17cm gap between my chairs and kitchen table which I can just about cross my legs at so the gap is fine is to me. Sometimes though visually a stool can look too high. I love LTS's first stool (it's looking good with the bar fitted!) but it looks a tad too high for me personally so it might be good to see a pic of your bar. i may be wrong but think it's going to be hard to find a fixed seat of 70cm. Counter stools versus bar stools come within whatever height ranges and I think 70 probably sits in the middle of those ranges. Advice - what size kitchen island for 5 seats?

Hello, we have a 2300mm x 1200mm island and 4 seats altogether in a right angle ( 2 on each side ). On the 1200mm side there are 2 seats so 600mm per person, on the 2300mm side there is 1400mm for the seating so 700mm per person ( but need to take into account of the corner ). The overhang is 300mm. The proportions seem fine. I guess it also depend in the depth of your cupboards underneath. Definitely don't have 5 seats in a row, they look nice in photos but it would be tricky to talk to each other. I only have a photo without the seats at the moment but we have since bought bar stools and the proportions do work, it's just that my island is currently too messy to take a photo :-). I'll try and take one in the morning with the bar stools in!

I think it could look really pretty but it’s obviously very narrow as you’ve said. I would therefore take inspiration from plants of the Mediterranean which are used to dry, ‘poor’ conditions. I did the same when I planted up a pallet which obviously is very narrow. Also taking into consideration your desire for evergreens, I’d suggest rosemary and lavender (think of the scents whilst sat there!) and possibly thyme. And interspersed with them- grasses is different weights and hues. You could then add some allium bulbs and agapanthus in between for some summer colour, but when they aren’t flowering you’ll have lots of different textures from the other plants to keep interest. Let us know what you decide, would love to see it finished!

I have a small gas stove in my fireplace with the controls at the front. The installers opened up the aperture as much as they could and fitted stone back panels. It may be possible to increase your opening size after the fire and surround have been removed. This is my stove.
