Comments (6)Wow, I love the European vineyard-esque details of this space. It is going to look beautiful when you are done! At Purehome.com, we specialize in hand curating paint palettes and furnishings that speak to your individual style- from what I can see, I would recommend these colors (which are available in Benjamin Moore). Overall, to accent the beautiful blue cabinetry, I would recommend using a paint with golden undertones- this will really balance the room out and allow that great piece to pop. We have a patented algorithm to get the perfect complements for you! http://www.purehome.com/ics-nw-10-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-ng-11-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-4-1-interior-color-sample...See MoreWould you paint this wall unit?
Comments (18)Yes like most people have said would agree with the painting option. Choose a nice light colour and as already mentioned updating the door handles could give it a whole new modern look. At the end of the day the worst that could happen is that you don't like it and then you can get rid of it but at least you have tried to give it a new lease of life! I can see you have some nice glassware stored in there at the moment so if you are planning to keep this in there why not think about adding some cabinet lighting to make the most of this and have it as a feature in your room as there are a number of cabinet lights you can look at to achieve this effect? Something like this: http://www.thebulbco.com/led-interior-lighting/led-kitchen-lighting/endon-EL-10077-SET-kitchen-cabinet-strip-lights You can also get cabinets lights in a number of different colours too so you could match this up with the rest of your decor....See MoreKitchen walls - what colour would you use
Comments (14)The cupboards are a peachy orange colour and the floor a yellow colour and both are warm so I wouldn't choose yellow. Does she want it brightening or colour adding? Anything darker than what is there now will not brighten it but may make it look a bit more sophisticated perhaps? She could paint one wall a deep dark colour such as Olive as suggested by Jonathan, or paint all the walls a stone colour that would complement the cupboards....See Morewhat colour would you paint this fireplace?
Comments (32)The dining area and the other area could be from two different houses. There’s definitely nothing modern about the dining area. Build in storage (cupboard on the bottom, shelves to the height of the picture rail) on each side of the fireplace. Change the chairs to a much simpler style. The cottage/country table cloth should be changed out for something less busy. If building storage isn’t possible, reduce what’s on the shelves and clear off the mantel....See Moresandringham12
