What brand and shade of paint is the blue used here?

I really like the dark blue used here, looks really well with the tan leather contrast. I have been looking for something similar for my new home, do you mind telling me what brand and shade you used?

I just purchased a colour match sample pot as Little Greene paint was also coming up a bit pricey. The Albany paint alternative is nowhere near the same quality ie very watery and thin, but mostly the colour is waaaaay off. Hopefully someone else will have better experience but I'm off to buy Little Greene next week....£££ gulp!

Is Crown paint poor quality? If so, what brands offer colour match?

I'm no expert but have done a fair bit of decorating / painting over the years and can't say my experience with Crown emulsion has been very positive. Yes, sometimes quite watery (although I'm not a fan of really thick paints like 'one coat' ones), yes multiple coats needed and not very washable once on the walls. Farrow and Ball is certainly way better in all these respects but exorbitantly expensive. I've had good results with Dulux (although some of the white gloss paints have turned quite yellow) but also with Wickes paints. There are many DIY outlets that offer colour matching. I'm sure you'll get some good pointers here on Houzz

Hi Hu-437254418 ... I’m sure you can do without adding more to the mix! But for what is worth, see what you think of these, predominantly from Paint & Paper Library (assuming you can get this brand in Ireland) ... The first picture is a selection of blues, with examples below. Notice how the colour can appear different from image to image (see Blue Blood in particular. I’ve used Paint & Paper Library on woodwork and as a paint, love it. I hear great things about Mylands too (& Colourtrend). Also has potential as a lighter blue is Farrow & Ball Parma Grey, has good depth to it despite some of the images on website looking quite pale.

Hi all, I know this is now several months old - however I’ve finally reached the top of my decorators list and he comes next week to paint the front door. I opted for Little Greene Celestial Blue as recommended by Sonia (thank you!). My question now is should we have celestial blue on the door frame too, or should we stick with white?? A quick Google search show pretty much a 50-50 split!!! Thanks in hope that someone reads this 🤞
