keep changing my mind. First I liked sage cabinets and then to olive green and now grey. I like the

dekton worktops, not sure which one will go well with my colours. Please help. Not had a new kitchen for over 18 years.

I'd go to photos on houzz. select kitchens, then just flick through loads of pics and save all the ones you like then you might see a pattern appear... Also think about your space, is it big, bright,.....one colour in one room might not suit another room.....

Thank you Ellie. Have looked at loads of images. It is a very bright kitchen with two big windows.

I prefer Ariel with the vein, as the clean white will bend with the white cabinets with the veins complimenting the dark wood cabinets. But go with the one that you went 'OOH' first, you will find that if you love something, then all your 'loves' compliment each other! Plus its too expensive not to.... We are choosing Silestone Orion which is a mottled white-grey with plenty of veining to hide the dirt! Plus shop around as the Silestone quote we got from a local Gold Approved was nearly half that of other local Gold Approved Silestone suppliers.... Good luck!

You should really see cabinet colour and countertop colours together in the space where the kitchen is going, if possible, to see whether it works or not. And keep the door sample vertical and the countertop sample horizontal, since that is how you will see it. You wouldn’t believe how much the difference in light in the showroom and in your home will affect the colours. You could go for the veined marble(look) on the island and a different countertop on the other cabinets if it doesn’t work with the colour of those.

In my opinion it is the saturation level of the paint that is the problem. The beauty of your kitchen is the natural flooring and the wooden worktops, it looks earthy. This is swamped by the blue paint, it just looks wrong. Without seeing the cupboard door colours close up it is tricky but I would suggest looking for something a bit darker than the cupboards but with the same hue. If you want a strong contrasting wall a deep olive green would work as it would balance the wood and the purpley greys.
