love these type of lighting. Where can I buy these vertical lights?

I need these type of lights for small space between the shed and a wall. Are these lights solar? Could you please provide me with the infor. thanks

Hi Anna - These were custom made for the project out of steel sections and led tape lights. They aren't solar. Good luck finding the right lights for your project!

Great idea. Not naff at all, just a bit of a dust catcher! I love picture rails, saves my husband lots of drilling ;-) They're not difficult to find, any decent timber merchant should have them. I've also seen them in one of the big DIY sheds. You can also still buy picture rail hooks very cheaply in places like Wilko. Good luck!

I think a more modern style of country lamp would look really wonderful here over a seating area or coffee table. Something like this might suit. I wouldn't go with something too 'heavy' or 'antique' looking: the fireplace is a lovely feature unto itself. There are loads of variations of this kind of lamp if this isn't your style. It does matter of course what the lighting in the kitchen looks like as they should compliment each other rather than fight against each other in an open space, but don't need to 'match'. HI, yes agree, 2 or three pendants depending on the size over the peninsula, those Broadway Emery Vintage Mini pendant lights are good as they're only 20cm across. You'd need larger for the dining table. The Artisan Lamp holder with braided flex is just a pendant fitting that you have to put a shade on, so it wouldn't work unless you can find a shade that you like. Still best to go for items from the same range, You need a pendant light fitting for the dining room in the range of 300mm to 500mm wide depending on how wide and long the table is really. Regards the spots, keep those on the kitchen light switch as a separate entity, so on or off, and have separate spurs for your dining room and the island so that you can dim them and have them on or off without the kitchen lights. Make sure, as i said earlier that you buy dimmable switches and dimmable bulbs.

Thanks for the replies. @Ellie I think my partner got the idea of a horizontal one from a one pitch roof photo on here. they do look really nice. @oneplan that's a really good point re lining up windows if they are horizontal. Although I think long horizontal ones is the builders last choice as he says they'll take longer to install. We're paying a day rate so trying to get everything pinned down in advance and as slick as possible. Our internal layout is slightly different to the floor plan I added to the comments. The kitchen is going in the centre in the 'old' extension (front of the house is Victorian and existing extension is 1990s). The new extension will have the sitting area on the left and the dining area on the right (so the opposite of the floor plan). This is because the wood burner will need to go on the left side and we want the seating area around that. Do you have any thoughts on narrow vehicle windows one on either side for the gable roof? I'll try to find the photo of what I mean. Thanks
