What to do with extra large window ledge in bathroom
Comments (7)I'm a big fan of using a single slab of marble/stone rather than tiling window ledges in bathroom's. Partly because it adds an extra luxe element but also because there's no grout to inevitably get discoloured or go mouldy. You could then add a pretty wooden tray on top with some bathroom essentials or plants like suggested above....See MoreMake one bathroom smaller? Advice on bathrooms remodel
Comments (18)I've been thinking about options to cover all basis and came up with this. To allow guests to use a bath/shower the ensuite would be shared. I added a wall in the master bedroom to divide it and add privacy so guests don't have to walk into the bedroom to get to the bath/shower. The upsides are that the ensuite is larger, includes a bath and shower and has more vanity room. Also, by diving the bedroom I can add sort of a walk-in wardrobe. The downsides are that there's only one bath/shower that has to be shared and guests have to walk through the walk-in wardrobe to get to it. Also, it reduces the size of the master bedroom but it's quite a long room anyway and it would cut out the light from the windows in the bedroom. Personally I don't see these as big problems but I guess some people won't like it. Do you think this is a good idea?...See Morehelp! how can I make a bathroom work with a pattern tile?
Comments (30)We are looking for the same type of tiles to use on the wall of the sink. The whole bathroom will be a toned down yellow (that's the idea for now) and a secluded shower area - turquoise. The idea is to make it Spanish style, ao there will be a lot of dark wood wood (beams, mirror, sink plank, maybe some more planks, wooden door), some old school wall lights. Shower head and tap are supposed to be bronze color, the old school type. And we'll have plants hanging and standing around. Only not sure about the floor tiles yet. My husband wants it all in pebbles, but i'm not sure it will look nice...See MoreHow many recessed LED light should I install in our small bathroom
Comments (11)I created a mock-up in TinkerCAD to try to simulate the lights in a 6 spots configuration, with each LED having 40 degrees angle from 280 cm high ceiling. I am now worried about the ceiling being dark and having shadows in between, It looks like I need bigger spotlights probably 16cm in diameter? Probably my calculations were wrong? perhaps I need 80 lumens per sq ft. Dimmable LEDs. Yes, I will consider wall lighting especially near the mirrors...See MoreHU-556520790
