Help me choose some dining room chairs please!
Comments (4)I think the DSW chairs would look great but I agree they seem to be everywhere now so it's hard to justify the price tag for something which isn't very unique (and essentially just plastic). You mentioned mid century. Have you considered auctions/gumtree. You can pick up a set of original mid century chairs very cheaply if you hunt for them. I'm on the look out too for dining chairs and have also found most chairs I like cost £150+....See MoreWhat style dining table & chairs?
Comments (6)How about an L shaped built in bench with storage underneath,an oblong table in front and then foldable chairs for extra seating when you have guests? I would put a large framed mirror on the wall opposite the window to reflect light and open up the space and some colourful art work on the wall opposite the door. If you can run to having a light fitting put in over the table, this would really make the area feel special!...See MoreTable & chairs dilemma
Comments (64)I'm glad they're comfy! It's a shame the tolix is cold, I've got them in my basement which is cold anyway hence why I probably don't notice! You may find cheaper but I know Nordic House do fur seat pads. No I wouldn't reconsider a corner sofa. I was just trying to look for cheaper options for you which a normal sofa would have been. I've had a proper look for corner sofas now but all the emerald ones I've found are in velvet :( I would definitely get the sofa stainguarded in case of any mishaps with your daughter! I tried looking to see if sofa.com had a Black Friday deal on last year with potentially a bigger discount but they don't appear to have done...See MoreDining table style
Comments (19)Hi Christian, Firstly, what a fantastic space you have created, with lots of light from the large windows and a fabulous kitchen/relaxing area, I love your sofa. I note that Beano kindly recommended Go Modern and we would love to help you choose some furniture for your amazing space. I see that you are thinking of a glass table, but larger than the one you already have and some chairs to go with it, as well as a rug, a couple of armchairs and a coffee table. I think the glass dining table that you are looking at is really nice and a good size for the space, but I wondered if you had considered a ceramic table top as this might also work for you. Ceramic is a new finish in a variety of colours which is smooth to the touch and looks and feels just like marble, but is incredibly hard-wearing and perfect for families or entertaining. The Art Dining Table from Bonaldo, designed by the famous Gino Carollo is a great example as it can also be enhanced by matching inserts in the legs. Regarding dining chairs we offer a huge range . But if you’re looking for some really colourful dining chairs – how about these ? The Bonaldo Bernedetta designed by Dondoli e Pocci We also have a great selection of rugs from top names like Missoni Home and Nani Marquina Armchair wise you might want to try something completely different like the Sacco from Zanotta – they are incredibly comfortable ! For some coffee table ideas – take a look here.... So, these are purely a few of my own suggestions and may not work for you at all. However, with such a large and amazing space I thought it was worth giving you some different ideas to think about. If you would like to discuss anything in person please feel free to call our Showroom on 020 7731 9540, or if you live nearby why not drop into the Showroom on the Kings Road in Chelsea. We have a fantastic design team who will be happy to talk you through some options and many more possibilities. Finally Good luck with it all! I hope you find the right pieces for your beautiful kitchen/diner/relaxation space. Kind regards, Caroline for Go Modern PS - When you've found items for indoors - how about that huge garden I see through the windows!! We have everything you could possibly want to create the perfect outdoor relaxation area....See MoreHannah Night
