Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

Option 1 for me too. Personally I'd go for a cowhide with an arc lamp over the sofa. I know it's becoming "common" if you're on here but I love the look and think it would really suit the room. Maybe a couple of cushions on each sofa laid out as per the attached pic from the design hunter (not with the throw) which looks suitable for a bachelor pad!

Actually the curtains look fine, better than I expected but yes a totally different style to the rug and both quite distinct patterns so clashed. I'd go with a more abstract fluid rug in similar colours and a splash of something like pale lime. blue or orange so it's not too matchy matchy. One step at a time! I've been known to buy and change sofas and rugs in my living room numerous times until I'm happy (luckily I like pre-loved things so rarely lose much, if any money on them, just takes a bit of effort. Maybe go back to where you found this pic ( unless it was Pinterest - as unfortunately everything gets re-pinned on there so many times you can't trace it back ) - see if it has any info on it with regards what's in the photo...........magazine articles usually say where the products have been sourced. For your info, those types of rugs are called Trellis Rugs..................I did a search on google for beige trellis rug, but that one with the little navy bits on it, didn't come up.
