Wall paper living room dilemma

Hi, I want to apply wallpaper in my living room but I am not certain on the wall to apply it on. Should I place it on the wall will the TV and speakers or the opposite plain wall. I intend to place 2 wall hangings on the plain wall. The plain wall is the one with the one photo hanging, all the stuff on floor won't be there, just placed it there as I settle in to the house. Sorry for the mess.
