Looking for garden design inspiration using water, sleepers & bed

I’m planning reconfiguring my centre bed which is on slope of garden across practically width of garden. We have slab steps at the moment but I’m thinking of replacing with sleepers for a gentle stair and incorporating a water river. The bed is in a half moon shape(ish) at present but wonder whether to bring further into bottom lawn wrapping bottom of ‘river’. Any ideas of shape/planning would be great 😊
