Redesign master bedroom en-suite

We would like a master en-suite redesign before we get our new windows put in.

Ideally we would like a walk in wardrobe and a dressing table, we would also like to bring our washing machine and tumble dryer in to our en-suite to make it easier to keep in top of the laundry.

I am struggling to picture something unique and keep thinking we need more space but my husband thinks we have ample room just need a clever redesign.

Has anyone had a similar project or have any advice how to configure this oddly shaped room?!

Personally I think you can only really put your laundry in here if you can close of off.

Personally I think the idea of having the washing machine upstairs is very practical but I wonder if it would be nicer somewhere outside your master which is supposed to be restful.

If this is a one bed apartment then maybe putting the washing machine and dryer in the en-suite makes some sense but I would still have practical concerns about this. Noise, heat, venting externally, space, where do you fold clothes, what about clothes that you cannot put in the dryer, where do you iron. The space looks small and unusually shaped so you may be better advised to make it a lovely en-suite rather than an en-suite laundry room. If your plan is to make this the main laundry for a house with other occupants then it does not make sense.

Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))

Depends what they want the third bedroom for. If an office space 2 singles may be fine. If a guest room would a single work? Could they knock the 2 bedrooms together to make 2 decent doubles?

Thank you both for replying. Yes that wall at the bottom can't really be moved as it contains the soil pipe for the toilets. The main bathroom doesn't need changing, the cupboard from the hall is the airing cupboard so that can't be moved either. But I do think maybe we make it a wet room with a nice walk shower without the bath. Not sure about walking straight into dressing room - we'd have to keep it exceptionally tidy or it would annoy me...

Basic design packages don’t allow you to draw in sloped ceilings. So I think you need to enlist a designer or concept planner who can create the room in CAD and help you visualise the space including the ceilings. Try a search on Houzz for professionals.
