Hi Sophie. Have you considered a feature wall for behind the bed? I think a faux panelling looks great with this style of bed. You could team it with Something like ammonite by farrow and ball or a warm white or pale grey. A few pics in your ideabook have wood floors but if this is out maybe look at a colour similar to the padded headboard but a shade or so lighter, a sisal might be nice for texture. You seem to like neutrals so I'd mix shades of the grey and beige for curtains and accessories but add different textures and patterns. I think the bed will look great with a couple of throws and a few cushions. Id get samples of everything though to see how the colours work together. Definitely wood for the chest, perhaps antique for a bit more character? Depending on how much storage you need these side tables with antique mirror tops would look nice as bedsides and perhaps a velvet chair for the bay? A chandelier would look lovely or a textured contemporary pendant light, there are a couple of nice feather ones around :)

Would you consider going towards a bluey green for your back wall? Think of a peacock,where blues & greens are so vibrant. Could be anything ranging from turquoise to teal to duckegg etc. It's such a big room, it could take some drama. The problem looking at it now is that the wall is so bland & deadens the green. Then you can add highlight colours with bed cushions & bedlinen. Have a couple of sets of cushion covers to change into every couple of months, to match the bedlinen. Or use all white bedding & change cushions d throws. IKEA does a small cushion with a turquoise cover, & you can buy other covers separately eg mustard, red. And have a look at Boogaloo Boutique. She up cycles furniture by covering it in wallpaper. Amazing stuff. You could get 2 matching chests of drawers from her. You might have to wait a bit for her to find 2 matching ones, or go for 2 similar ones, as they'll have same paper. I'd recommend the Bethan Gray paper in turquoise. It's divine.

I'm going against the grain here and would stay with the lighter color, all round. I would suggest taking out the ladder shelf, hopefully you can use this elsewhere, and swap the chair to it's position. How about a floating shelf, or may be 2, above the PC's? For a few books and decorative items. Not all the way across, so some art can go at either end. The red of the rug is great to connect your areas, especially in the art at the PC end. Go with just a couple of pillows, again a red or ochre from the rug. If you feel more is needed, try a throw otherwise you might go into pillow overload! I would add looking for a lamp to come from behind the sofa, one would give you soft evening lighting.
