Dilemma with kitchen wall paint
Comments (4)I love it, really restful. You could, and I don't think it needs it, go for the feature wall behind the range, picking up the colour of that. Or replicate the colour on the opposite side of the room in the breakfast nook, for a little intimate interest!...See MoreKitchen wall paint peeling , help
Comments (4)Sounds like traces of paste left on the wall. Were walls bare plaster? If so, they should be primed or use a bare plaster paint before the top coat. I'd sand down the wall, wash with sugar soap then clean water. When dry apply a primer and you should be ok....See MoreCan I paint my kitchen walls the same colour as the kitchen cabinets
Comments (7)You are more than welcome Teresa, glad I can help. I can now completely understand why changing the panels would be a real hassle - it would essentially be taking the kitchen apart and reinstalling. As the panels are Wenge effect then painting will not be an issue at all. Just make sure you give them a good clean and wipe over with sugar soap before applying any primer/light sanding. If you are struggling to get a good colour match to the doors - it might be worth hunting down a company that specialises in paint colour matching. Explain to them that you are looking to paint end panels I'm assuming they are laminated/MFC and they should be able to guide you on what base would be best as well as the prep work involved to make sure the panels are as hardwearing as they can be. I think a pop of pink would be fabulous! That's the beauty of making the kitchen your own and adding colour with accessories - you can have what you love and if you change your mind years down the line you won't have to redo the whole kitchen. What sort of pink are you thinking? Do you have any artwork in the kitchen that has a small amount of pink that you could tie in? With the colour palette you have any kind of pink would work well in there, from a nice dusty rose, blush pink to a hot pink (if you are daring enough). If you need any help with sourcing or suppliers for splashbacks please let me now. Kind regards, Charlie Covey Kitchens www.coveykitchens.co.uk...See Morekitchen wall idea suggestions
Comments (2)Here are some suggestions for updating your kitchen wall: Paint: Painting the wall is one of the easiest and least expensive updates you can do. Since you already have grey flooring and green cupboards, you may want to consider painting the wall a complementary color such as a light blue or a warm beige to balance the color scheme. Wall tiles: If you like the idea of a stone wall, you can install wall tiles that resemble the look of stone. This can be a bit more expensive than wallpaper, but it will add texture and interest to your kitchen. Wallpaper: If your husband prefers wallpaper, consider using a modern pattern with a light and bright color to keep it from feeling dated. However, since you've just stripped the wallpaper, installing another wallpaper might cover up any imperfections on the wall. here is some wallpaper ideas: 3D Imitation Wood Grain Thick Wallpaper Self-adhesive Waterproof 70x77cm 3D Wall Stickers Self Adhesive Foam Brick Room Decor DIY 3D Wallpaper Wood paneling: Wood paneling offers a warm and natural look that can complement the existing grey and green color scheme. You can either use reclaimed wood or purchase wood panels that are pre-finished, which are easy to install. Overall, it's important to consider your skill level, budget, and personal style when deciding on what to do with your kitchen wall. If you're unsure of what to do, you can always consult with a design professional or get inspiration online. Good luck with your project!...See Moresamanialka
