I'd say we all want to live in that lovely house we passed whilst on the way to go brambling with a jam jar in our hand and high hopes of a good day. Maybe it was the gates, or the gravel driveway that appealed, and it even had stone pillers and Georgian windows . And I'd wait and stare, and wait and stare curious about who lived there and hoping they'd drive out allowing me a quick glimpse of another world. Them. Then I'd feel ashamed stood there in my jumble-sale-new clothes, bothered that perhaps someone might come out and ask me what was I doing. I learnt it was a very rich person home, a shipbuilder who owned a shipping fleet and I wanted to copy him, if he could do it- then so could I. So that man and that lovely house blighted my life for the best, and it still does. I love this house and stop outside it whenever I pass by. I'm heart broken, and I'm a big strong man and big strong men are not allowed to cry. That adopted house is my comfort blanket, my home, and I go to sleep and it becomes mine.This is my lounge, this my garden, this gate is mine, and please come in when you go brambling. Don't walk on by, share it with me, you can adopt upstairs or the fireplaces, or ceiling coving and florals, I won't mind.

Sorry to disagree but I'd go for white. The grey tile looks cheap (sorry!) next to the marble tile and I think your eye will be drawn from the beautiful hexagonal floor tile onto the wall tile. In all honesty I saw your previous post and didn't comment because you didn't want marble on the wall but a marble metro tile would blend much better and not detract from the feature hexagonal floor.

thanks all! The vanity was made to measure. Just a wooden floating frame which we covered in tiles. Couldn't find a vanity to fit as this was less than 300 deep and about 1100 wide. The tiles we got from a company in Preston called ROCCIA www.roccia.com - they also have a place in Bolton but not sure if they deliver outside of the area. The tile was called Pantheon Marble (antique) by Cerim. Not found any other suppliers. Comes from Italy in all size formats. I got the 300 x 600 and they did them for about £45psqm. Similar ones we found from Mandarin stone were almost identical but didn't have quite as many streaks in. In fact I bought a full sized sample and had to use some of it for the skirting behind the WC and you can't really tell the difference at that angle. They are on sale now so a similar price (they were almost £60 psqm when i looked to buy them!) https://www.mandarinstone.com/product/mimica-sepia-grey-matt/ they are mostly grey but in some lights at a certain time of day, they can have just the very very slightest brown tinge but it's barely noticeable either.

@Nicola M (Nicola) well we went to a new local tile shop the other day and she persuaded me to stick with the giant tiles, but still tiling them as brickwork effect. I saw an amazing concrete one that was a nice colour, wasn't patchy but was out of our budget (£40sqm)!! eek. My OH just said to order them as he knows how stressed I have been trying to find something I like, LOL. There were some other lovely ones but in the wrong shape ie 600's which I don't like on the wall personally. I haven't ordered them yet but they are typically special order so I my tiler is coming to measure today so I can be sure to have enough. Hence my questions about where to tile to as we are trying to save money, haha. I was going to do the floor as well so it all runs through but I think it will need some pattern/oomph in the room with all grey tiles. These are the ones in the Gris colour.
