Topping on a concrete path

Hi. I have a raised concrete path that needed to be dug up to lay cables. It's now quite unsightly. I plan to sell the house next year and want something that looks consistent and not as ugly. I want a cheapish (but not necessarily the cheapest) option.

10 months agoDecking may be the next option as it is cheap and can be laid by a good DIYer. There are different budget levels. The cheapest is softwood, the sort you see at most DIY stores. However it doesn’t last long, mine started to rot after 8 years. Next is Composite but the cheaper ones can be plasticky. The more expensive look very good. Not sure how long they last. Then top budget is hardwood, the sort of thing you would see in Bali etc! However, good quality decking can cost as much as paving. I would choose the best can afford.
